LibreWolf is a community-maintained fork of Firefox ESR that launched in 2020, built by privacy-minded volunteers who found Firefox's default telemetry and DRM support unacceptable. It ships with uBlock Origin pre-installed, resist-fingerprinting enabled by default, and all telemetry completely stripped out. The project operates through volunteer contributions coordinated on Codeberg, a German nonprofit code forge, and explicitly rejects donations to avoid administrative overhead.
