People arrive with a US product in mind and leave with a European one. The site is indexed by Bing, DuckDuckGo and Google, and its research datasets are cited by AI answer engines. Every figure below is measured, not estimated.

What are the placements?
Both placements use the same card. It is labelled Sponsored, it looks like a listing rather than a banner, and it links to your page with rel="sponsored".

What are the rules?
European headquarters
Sponsors must be headquartered in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, the same rule every listing meets.
Listed first
The product must be in the directory. Listing is free; sponsorship is separate and never a condition of being listed.
Labelled and marked
Every card says Sponsored. Links carry rel="sponsored". The affiliate and sponsorship policy is public on the methodology page.
Nothing editorial is for sale
Rankings, verdicts, reviews, comparison tables and quick answers do not change for sponsors.
No tracking
No cookies, no pixels, no third-party scripts. Clicks are counted server-side by page and placement.
Plain billing
Monthly, one month minimum, invoice with VAT from a Dutch company. Cancel by email.

Questions advertisers ask
- Who can sponsor Built in EU?
- Companies headquartered in Europe (EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland) whose product is listed in the directory. If your product is not listed yet, submit it first; listing is free and takes a few days to review.
- Does sponsorship change my ranking or review?
- No. Rankings, editorial verdicts, reviews and comparison text are never sold. A sponsor gets a clearly labelled placement in addition to, not instead of, its normal listing.
- Is the sponsor link a followed backlink?
- No. Paid links carry rel="sponsored" as search engines require. Your free product page already links to your site normally. Sponsorship buys visibility with a high-intent audience, not PageRank.
- How do you report results without cookies?
- Every click on a sponsor card is recorded server-side with the page and placement it came from, without cookies or personal data. You receive click counts per placement each month, and you can add your own UTM parameters to the destination URL.
- How is pricing and billing handled?
- Site sponsor is 149 euro per month and category sponsor is 99 euro per month, excluding VAT, with a one month minimum. You receive an invoice from a Dutch company with VAT number; the slot goes live when the invoice is paid.
- What does the card show?
- Your logo, product name, country flag, a one-line headline of at most 60 characters that you supply and we review, and a visit button. No animation, no images beyond the logo, no tracking pixels.
