What actually separates these cloud providers

Do you need object storage, servers or a whole platform?

Many listings here are S3-compatible object storage, which applications, backup tools and Kubernetes clusters write to through the S3 API: Hetzner Object Storage, Impossible Cloud, Leafcloud, Intercolo, Cyso Cloud, Scaleway and UpCloud Object Storage, with S3 storage also offered by OVHcloud, Aruba Cloud, cloudscale and Infomaniak Public Cloud. The rest rent out servers or whole platforms. Managed Kubernetes is listed by OVHcloud, STACKIT, gridscale, Infomaniak Public Cloud, Elastx, Aruba Cloud, Seeweb and UpCloud, and GPU servers by AlphaVPS, Aruba Cloud, Elastx, gridscale, Infomaniak Public Cloud and Seeweb.

What does it cost to move data out?

Egress is the traffic that leaves the provider's network. UpCloud says outbound data transfers are free. Hetzner Object Storage includes 1 TB of storage and 1 TB of egress in its monthly base price, and Intercolo includes 1 TB of outgoing traffic per month with each TB of storage booked. Tilaa includes unlimited traffic with its servers.

What does storage cost, and can you try it first?

Prices are quoted in different units, so compare them on your own volume: Leafcloud charges €0.02 per GB per month, Impossible Cloud €7.99 per TB per month on pay-as-you-go, Intercolo starts from €2.49 per TB and Cyso Cloud lists €0.055 per GB. Most let you test first: Impossible Cloud with a free 30-day trial, Intercolo with a month and 1 TB free, UpCloud with €500 of credits for 30 days, Infomaniak Public Cloud with CHF 300 of credits to use within three months, and T Cloud Public with a €250 starting credit.

How we checked this

We checked 7 of the 10 alternatives on this page against each company's own website in September 2026. Every line in the grey panels comes from that company’s own site, and a second check tried to disprove it before we kept it. A dash in the table means we could not verify that detail. "Pick it if" lines are our own assessment, based only on those checked statements.
